OFAI Case Study - PEI Genesis

With their existing washroom facilities dated and showing signs of wear and tear, PEI-Genesis wanted a complete refurbishment for their European Distribution Centre and came to us to see how we could help.

Brief

The company was due to host an international conference with over 100 members, and wanted the new washroom facilities to become a feature through the use of a mix of high-quality materials and modern finishes.

Solution

Following on from a tender process and a number of site meetings, we were able to envision what PEI-Genesis were looking for from their new facilities. We were able to provide them with concept designs and floorplans that highlighted the materials chosen, with examples to show the possible outcomes.

Our full fit out solution included the replacement of flooring with high-quality, slip resistant porcelain tiles, and the introduction of feature vanity tops. These have been finished in a neutral colour scheme, complemented by the soft lighting and use of feature woodgrain high pressure laminate panels throughout the facilities.

Both sets of washrooms were completed with brushed steel trims and hardware, which contrast perfectly with the dark wood and create a modern, polished look.

All work was completed out-of-hours to minimise disruption to the staff and company.

Finishing

The overall finish of the washroom facilities ultimately achieves the contemporary look that PEI-Genesis requested.

The project was delivered to both budget and deadline, in time for the company's conference, and the staff are delighted with their new facilities.
